OK; I have been out on the town for the night so you'll have to bear with me.
We went out in Manchester City Centre as we had been working far too hard lately and we realised that things have changed in the year since we left the City for the suburbs. The main difference was how young everyone was; I am 24 and the average age of people at the club we went to was about 17 so you can imagine how old I felt. But we met a guy who was 23 in there so didn't feel too bad.
Strangely all the music was from about 5 years ago and I was stood there thinking "you were about 12 when this was out" for most of the night. Am I old? My Wife thinks so.
Anyway, back to the trade. I didn't give much away earlier so now it is time for a bigger reveal.
The trade is for a football shirt given to me by Liverpool FC. I know that I announced that Everton FC were interested but they turned me down in the end.
The football shirt is not just any football shirt. It was made in case Liverpool played an opposition whose country had strict alcohol advertising laws; you see Liverpool FC are sponsored by Carlsberg the Dutch Brewers, if we were to play a Norwegian club for example then the Carlsberg logo would have to be removed from the shirts. The shirts for Liverpool's European Campaign were made before the draw to see which opposition Liverpool played in the European Champion's League.
Liverpool have not been drawn against any opposition for which they have had to remove the sponsors logo and so these shirts are going spare. They have decided that this cause is worthy enough to attract one of these shirts and it is not just any player but Xabi Alonso; Liverpool's current Midfield star.
The shirt comes with a letter from Liverpool FC explaining the shirts significance and has been valued at around £300 GBP (around 450 euros, 570 US dollars, 750 Australian dollars). I think that this is a great uptrade and I hope that you will find it an exciting item on which you would like to bid.

That is so cool! It really is amazing how well your little piece of old rope is doing! Keep up the good work!
Perhaps it is about time you contacted the liverpool echo, see if they will run with the story now. That might stir up some interest in the Liverpool shirt.
