I've been looking with interest lately at the other trading games that had been spawned since Kyle McDonald traded his red paperclip for a house. There seems to be only one other one that is still going strong.

Tim in Australia decided to do his bit for charity by trading a zipper for something bigger and so on in the same vein as Kyle's oneredpaperclip project. He called it The Special Zipper so called after the scar that many heart kids have on their chest after open heart surgery - yes, I have one too.

He has currently made 5 trades (much the same as this blog) and is now on a signed frame print of Dennis Lillee. It was Tim who gave me my second trade and I will always be grateful for that. We all wish him the very best of luck and hope he can reach his goal of raising $10,000 for Heartkids Australia.

At the time there were literally hundreds of trading games to come out of Kyle's overcoat but only two were for charity and those are the two that still going strong - Money For Old Rope and The Special Zipper.

Tim and other readers of his blog have been setting aside Mondays for music videos from YouTube. I would like to add my contribution by joining in on Music Monday™, bringing you Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip with my favourite song of the moment "Thou shalt always kill", which contains the excellent line "Thou shall not judge a book by it's cover, thou shall not judge Lethal Weapon four by Danny Glover"

Enjoy...

Hi Paul
Thanks for the mention in the post. The Special Zipper only followed your lead however they both seem well entrenched on the Internet in search engines which will provide future awareness of CHD as well as the current fundraising drive.

Great to see you are into Music Mondays. Again I was not the creative one here, it was Dan from 0ddness
